The work of Karen Peterson and Dancers (KPD), founded in 1990 as a non-profit arts organization, is based on the belief that through dance, we can better understand our common humanity by exploring and appreciating this impulse to move. The company’s focus is on physically integrated dance that includes those with and without disabilities, which both elevates the human spirit and reshapes the paradigms of dance and beauty, regardless of perceived or real barriers. KPD is dedicated and committed to the development, education, and presentation of inclusive dance through workshops, education and professional contemporary dance performances.
